after a petty quarrel (which my mom and dad enjoys getting into), my mom asked my dad --
Anong gagawin mo na kung mamatay na ako?! (What would you now do if I die?!)
my dad answered,
Susundan na lang kita, Mama... (I will just follow you then, Mama...)
Aren't my parents so sweet?
So this story had reached some of my father's officemates and apparently, one guy had really a liking to it and this was what he said to his wife:
Guy: Ma, if I die, you go back to your family, okay? They will take care of you when I'm not around anymore.
Girl: So what if I die first, what will you do?
Guy: I will just follow you, Ma.
(hahaha)... and then the girl said, 'Hmph! I know where you got that line! You just copied that from Sir!'
hahaha... but then again, the sentiment is so sweet...
I TRULY LOVE MY PARENTS!

Happy New Year!
Early morning in Zamboanga City, New Year's Day 2012
What a beautiful view of the pueblo early morning on New Year's Day. Only the church-goers and street sweepers were awake that early to greet the new year. Hoping this year will be more peaceful and prosperous for us all! God bless us always :)
New Year and Prayer
Greeting the new year with a prayer early in the morning
Metropolitan Cathedral of Mary Immaculate, Zamboanga City
Woke up at 4 AM to attend mass at the city's cathedral. What a way to start the new year! :)
Also, seeing that crucifix hanging above the altar brought me back to the years when the cathedral was smaller and our grade school was still located at this site. That crucifix had always been there for as long as I can remember. The same goes for the obviously old, but I guess well-kept church organ. Everything has changed but there are still things that are still the same. Amazing :)
